Working for Woodlands programme

Our long-term goals complement the Working for Woodlands programme financed by the Department of Water and Environment Affairs. This Environmental Programme aims to catalyse the private sector into investing in the restoration of hundreds of thousands of hectares of what used to be spekboom-rich thicket.

Such a vision can easily be accomplished on the back of local and international carbon markets, but only if intense science underpins the process of restoration.
