South African Vegan Society was formed in 2007; our goal is to cultivate mainstream awareness of veganism by promoting the environmental and health advantages of a plant-based diet and Eco Food via online activity and resources, events, product and literature. Our Green Vegan Diet is supported by a large number of nutritional specialists and veganism is in fact healthier than either a Vegetarian or meat-based diet.
Our special diet is Organic and Vegetarian Diet, its potential benefits include lower levels of saturated fat, low cholesterol, lower risk for cancer and heart disease, higher levels of carbohydrates, fibre, magnesium, potassium, folate, antioxidant vitamins C and E and phytochemicals etc.
Another advantage of veganism does not have to indirectly consume artificial substances like growth hormones and antibiotics which are often given to farmed animals.
Else, our Health Food do not consume cows' milk, a powerful allergen for many humans which has been widely misrepresented and misinterpreted by the dairy industry as some essential parts of a growing child's diet.
A special Green Vegan Diet is very healthy, and more likely healthier than either a vegetarian or a meat-based diet.
