Resilience refers to the ability of a Community to withstand negative internal and external pressures and dangers. It enables adaptation and strength, power, coherence and intergenerational education and learning. Communities can be strong when they are given the power to be so, and when they are clear about their future and can band together to protect their rights.
The route to resilience is developed through intergenerational learning to revive indigenous ecological knowledge as well as the creation and use of eco-maps and calendars to facilitate agreement of land and Biodiversity governance and control.
